Here’s a straightforward, easy to understand system that might be good for beginners or for people who prefer a non-complex system. Andres Martinez was a lawyer and a reporter for the Wall Street journal. He wrote a book called “24/7: Living It Up and Doubling Down in the New Las Vegas” in which he described his fun system. As roulette methods go it certainly makes sense even to a Roulette rookie.
Contrary to most roulette betting systems, the Dopey Roulette System doesn’t promise to make you rich or even to come out ahead. It is simply a method to have fun gambling real money at the roulette table.
Common sense tells us that over time all numbers on the Roulette Wheel will score equally, as they all have the same chance of coming up. With the Dopey Roulette System, you take your roulette bankroll and divide it into 35 equal units. You then pick one roulette number (Mr. Martinez picked his wife’s birthday — 22), and bet one unit on that number for 35 consecutive spins of the roulette wheel. Do not bet on any other number as it will wreck the system. We are banking on the law of averages ensuring our number comes up. And indeed, if Luck is a Lady (as they say) ! If you succeed during that period (and there is a better-than-60 percent chance that you will), you carry on playing, still betting one unit on your particular number, but with the satisfaction of knowing that you are gambling with the casino’s money and not your own.
Having had a win, you might then want to change your number. Perhaps you saw an area of the table that hasn’t had enough wins yet, or have spotted a pattern of wins for a few numbers that looks like a bandwagon you’d want to jump on.
If you lose all 35 spins — well, that’s life. The main idea is that you have had a good long run at the roulette table and hopefully had some fun while you were doing it.
The Dopey Roulette System does not really sound that dopey to us. It sounds like an amusing way to enjoy playing roulette within responsible limits. And it sounds like it could be as much fun running a Dopey Experiment in an online roulette casino as it was for Andres Martinez in the Luxor Casino in Las Vegas. It definitely could be worth a try.
In the above video demonstration, we show how this system works. We used level simple stakes of $1 and kept simply betting on the number 1 until we got the win. After being succesful you now have some of the houses money to risk! The easy option is to then keep playing and to decide on a new number based on those you have already seen come up. Choose a number you haven’t seen and keep betting on it until you get another win.
